Saatchi Gallery and Sunday Art Prize for Schools 2010 opens for entries

The esteem is open to primary, delegate and sixth form schools from around the universe who are invited to contention art work from students up to the age of 18.

The 2009 Prize, that was judged by a row of artists, together with Sir Peter Blake and Antony Gormley, perceived over 22,000 entries from some-more than 3,000 schools.

This year"s Prize is sponsored by DeutscheBank. A initial esteem of �10,000 will be awarded to the winning school"s art department, with a serve �2,000 since to the winning student to be outlayed on art and computer equipment.

Two serve runner-up prizes of �5,000 each will be awarded to the second and third placed schools, with a serve �1,000 to each of the winning pupils.

The deadline for entries is Friday 6 Aug and there will be an muster of the twenty shortlisted entries at the Saatchi Gallery in the autumn.

The Prize is piece of the Saatchi Gallery"s preparation programme that is committed to introducing � la mode art to younger audiences.
